Equipment Needed
To make these delightful banana popsicles, you will need the following equipment:
- Popsicle sticks
- Plate
- Parchment paper
- Knife
- Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
Ingredients:
- 3 bananas, cut in half
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (120 ml) (preferably 100% peanuts)
- 100 g dark chocolate, melted (sugar-free and non-dairy)
Optional Toppings:
- Shredded coconut or sprinkles
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bananas:
- Cut the bananas in half and insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each banana half.
- Place the bananas on a plate lined with parchment paper and freeze for about an hour.
- Add the Peanut Butter:
- After the bananas have frozen, dip them in peanut butter. Alternatively, you can spread the peanut butter onto the bananas using a knife.
- Place the peanut butter-coated bananas back in the freezer for a couple of hours, or until the peanut butter has set.
- Coat with Chocolate:
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler.
- Dip the peanut butter-coated bananas into the melted chocolate.
- Add Toppings (Optional):
- Sprinkle shredded coconut or sprinkles on top of the chocolate-coated bananas if desired.
- Final Freeze:
- Place the chocolate-coated bananas back on the parchment-lined plate and freeze until the chocolate has hardened.
- Serve:
- Store the banana popsicles in the freezer. Let them defrost for a few minutes before serving to enjoy a creamier texture.
