- 1 Egg Yolk

- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1 heaped tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 Egg Yolks
- A pinch of Salt
- 360 ml Milk
- 1 Vanilla Pod (or Vanilla Sugar)
- 25g Butter
- For Frying:
- Vegetable Oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the Filling:
- Whisk egg yolks with sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
- Split and scrape a vanilla pod (or use vanilla sugar). Heat milk and vanilla in a pot.
- Remove from heat, gradually add egg mixture, stirring constantly.
- Return to heat, cook until thickened, then add butter and remove from heat.
- Make the Dough:
- Mix all ingredients except butter in a bowl and knead for 5 minutes.
- Add butter in pieces, knead for another 10 minutes.
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
