Equipment Needed

To make these delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bars, you will need the following equipment:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Baking dish or pan
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler for melting chocolate
  • Refrigerator

Ingredients:

For the Bars:

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup agave or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional)
  • 1 tsp almond, coconut, or oat flour
  • 60g (2 scoops) chocolate protein powder

For the Topping:

  • 50-75g dark chocolate chips (non-dairy and refined sugar-free), melted
  • 1-2 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, agave or maple syrup, and optional coconut oil. Mix well.
    • Add the almond, coconut, or oat flour and the chocolate protein powder. Stir until everything is well combined and forms a thick batter.
  2. Shape the Bars:
    • Line a baking dish or pan with parchment paper. Press the mixture firmly into the dish, spreading it evenly to form the base layer.
  3. Melt the Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate chips until smooth.
  4. Top the Bars:
    • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter base, spreading it evenly. Drizzle the additional peanut butter over the top for extra flavor and decoration.
  5. Set and Serve:
    • Place the dish in the refrigerator and let it set for at least 1-2 hours or until firm.
    • Once set, remove from the dish and cut into bars.
