    • 1 packet Dry Yeast
    • 2 tbsp Sugar
    • 125ml Lukewarm Milk
    • 100g Melted Butter
    • 1 Egg
    • 1 packet Vanilla Sugar

    • 450ml Milk
    • 2 tbsp Sugar (omit if using pre-sweetened pudding mix)
    • 1 packet Vanilla Pudding Powder
    • 4-5 tbsp Raisins
  • For Topping:
    • 1 Egg Yolk
    • 1 tsp Milk
    • Powdered Sugar

Method:

  1. Prepare the Pudding:
    • Cook the pudding as per the packet instructions. Cover and let it cool.
  2. Make the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine milk, yeast, vanilla sugar, and sugar. Gradually add flour.
    • Add the egg and melted butter, kneading to form a soft, non-sticky dough.
    • Cover with cling film and let it rise for about 45 minutes.
  3. Assemble:
    • Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread the cooled pudding evenly over it, then sprinkle raisins.
    • Roll the dough from the shorter side and cut into 3 cm wide pieces.
    • Place the pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Let them rise again for 15 minutes.
  4. Bake:
    • Brush the swirls with a mixture of egg yolk and milk.
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve:
    • Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
