Ingredients:

For the Puff Pastry:

  • 1 packet puff pastry (6 pieces)
  • Granulated sugar for sprinkling

For the Custard:

  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

For the Whipped Cream:

  • 1 packet whipped cream powder
  • 1 tea glass (about 100ml) milk

For the Chocolate Sauce:

  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 200ml milk
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tea glass (about 50ml) sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Puff Pastry:
    • Preheat your oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
    • Cut some of the puff pastry pieces into squares and leave others whole. Sprinkle granulated sugar over them.
    • Place the puff pastry pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake until golden and crispy. Let them cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Custard:
    • In a large saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, flour, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth.
    • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla sugar. Let the custard cool to room temperature.
  3. Prepare the Whipped Cream:
    • In a mixing bowl, whip the cream powder with the tea glass of milk until stiff peaks form.
    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled custard until well combined.
  4. Prepare the Chocolate Sauce:
    • In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and cornstarch.
    • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
    • Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Assemble the Dessert:
    • Crumble the whole puff pastry pieces by hand and spread them evenly over the bottom of a serving dish.
    • Pour the custard mixture over the crumbled puff pastry.
    • Arrange the square puff pastry pieces on top of the custard layer.
    • Pour the cooled chocolate sauce over the puff pastry squares.
