Ingredients:

For the Cookie Dough:

  • 170g all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 tsp kosher salt
  • 115g butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 egg (room temperature)
  • 100g sugar
  • 75g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 100g chopped dark chocolate

For the Nutella Centers:

  • 10 tsp Nutella (freeze 10 equal-sized balls separately on parchment paper for at least 30 minutes)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk for 1 minute by hand.
  2. Add the egg and whisk for another minute until well incorporated.
  3. Fold in the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt) followed by the chocolate chips. Place the cookie dough in the fridge for at least 20-30 minutes to chill.
  4. Preheat your oven to 175°C (fan oven) and line an oven tray with parchment paper.
  5. Take the frozen Nutella balls out of the freezer. Create 10 equal-sized cookie dough balls or use an ice cream scoop to portion the dough. Flatten each dough scoop and wrap it around a frozen Nutella ball, ensuring it’s completely covered.
