For the Crust:

  • 420g (3 cups) Fine Wheat Flour
  • 60g (1/4 cup) Granulated Sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2g (1/2 tsp) Salt
  • 200g (1 3/4 sticks) Frozen Butter, grated or cubed
  • 100g (2 large) Eggs
  • 14g (1 tbsp) Cold Milk

For the Filling:

  • 2 Green Apples, peeled and diced
  • 120ml (1/2 cup) Sugar
  • 5ml (1 tsp) Ground Cinnamon
  • 2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Ground Cloves
  • 2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Ground Nutmeg
  • 15ml (1 tbsp) Cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crust: Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the frozen butter until crumbly. Stir in eggs and milk to form a dough. Chill before use.
  2. Make the Filling: Combine diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Cook slightly to soften apples. Stir in cornstarch to thicken.
  3. Assemble: Roll out the dough, cut into circles, and line muffin cups. Fill with the apple mixture.
  4. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 150C (300F) until the crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
