Instructions:
Start by preheating your oven to 190°C (375°F).
Place the skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Once melted, reduce the heat to low and add the sliced peaches, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture for 6-8 minutes until the peaches soften.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and melted butter until combined. Gradually mix in the milk with a fork until the mixture forms a cohesive dough.
Using a medium-sized ice cream scoop, distribute the batter evenly over the peaches in the skillet.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the batter turns golden brown and has set.
Once baked, remove the skillet from the oven and allow the cobbler to cool slightly.
Serve warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired. This Skillet Peach Cobbler is a delightful dessert that combines the warmth of cinnamon and nutmeg with the sweet tanginess of peaches, creating a dish that's sure to please any crowd. Enjoy!
