Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 heaping tablespoons butter (100g)

  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 cups flour

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 slice lemon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Syrup:
    • In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and lemon slice.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and let the syrup cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, vegetable oil, semolina, egg, yogurt, vinegar, vanilla sugar, and baking powder.
    • Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft, non-sticky dough forms.
    • Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Rolls:
    • Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
    • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
    • Sprinkle the ground walnuts evenly over the dough and press gently to adhere.
