Pumpkin Spice Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe Card
A wonderfully soft and cakey cookie with a rich blend of pumpkin spice and a creamy, tangy cream cheese frosting.

For the cookies
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
For the frosting
- 4 oz cream cheese at room temp
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream butter and sugars for 3 minutes. Mix in pumpkin purée and vanilla.
Fold in dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices) until dough forms.
Shape and bake: Roll dough into balls (2 Tbsp each), flatten, and bake for 15 minutes.
Make frosting: Cream cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Frost and store: Once cookies are completely cool, frost and sprinkle with cinnamon. Store in the fridge.
