Banana Bread with Kinder Chocolate Chunks

Indulge in a luxurious twist on traditional banana bread with this recipe that incorporates pieces of Kinder chocolate for an extra special touch. It’s finished with a rich chocolate coating for the ultimate sweet treat.

Ingredients:

For the Banana Bread:
  • 250g butter, softened (or margarine for a lighter texture)
  • 200g golden caster sugar
  • 3 medium eggs, at room temperature
  • 285g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 medium bananas, very ripe and mashed
  • Kinder chocolate bars (milk and white), chopped into chunks
For the Optional Chocolate Topping:
  • 200g milk chocolate, for melting
  • 20g dark chocolate, for drizzling
  • 1 Kinder Bueno bar, for decoration

Instructions:

Making the Banana Bread:
  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (fan) / 180°C (conventional). Prepare a loaf tin by greasing it and lining with baking paper.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas and chocolate chunks.
  6. Pour the batter into the loaf tin and bake for approximately 1 hour or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow cooling in the tin before transferring to a wire rack.
Preparing the Chocolate Topping:
  1. Once the bread has cooled, melt the milk chocolate and pour it over the bread, letting it drip down the sides.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and drizzle over the milk chocolate for a decorative effect.
  3. Decorate with pieces of Kinder Bueno, adhering them with a bit of melted chocolate if necessary.
