Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Indulge in this moist and fluffy one-bowl banana bread recipe loaded with chocolate chips. Simple to make and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 250g All-Purpose Flour
  • 220g Light Brown Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 240g Unsweetened Plain Yogurt (e.g., almond yogurt or your choice)
  • 230g Ripe Bananas, mashed (about 2 bananas)
  • 120ml Vegetable Oil (or any flavorless oil)
  • 80g Dark Chocolate Chips

Method:

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your oven to 370°F (188°C).
    • Lightly grease an 8-inch loaf pan and line it with baking paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, mashed bananas, oil, and light brown sugar. Mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients:
    • Add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon powder to the wet mixture. Stir until the ingredients are fully combined.
  4. Add Chocolate Chips:
    • Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips, ensuring they are distributed evenly.
  5. Baking:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
    • Using a knife, create a shallow slit (about 1/4 inch deep) down the center of the batter. This will help the bread rise evenly.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Depending on your oven, you might need to bake a bit longer. Check the bread's doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; if it comes out clean, the bread is done.
  6. Cooling:
    • Once baked, allow the bread to cool in the loaf pan for about 30 minutes.
    • After that, transfer the loaf to a cooling rack and let it cool completely.

Storage Tip: For the freshest taste, store the banana bread in an airtight container or wrap it in plastic wrap.
