For the Sponge Cake:

4 Eggs
1 cup Sugar (slightly less)
1 packet Vanilla Sugar
½ tea glass Hot Water (glass size: 200 ml)
1 packet Baking Powder
1 cup Flour
3 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
For the Filling:

2 cups Milk
3 tablespoons Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
1 packet Vanilla Sugar
2 heaping tablespoons Flour
1.5 heaping tablespoons Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Butter
75 g Dark Chocolate
½ packet Whipped Cream Powder or 100 ml Whipping Cream
For the Ganache:

200 ml Whipping Cream
170 g Dark Chocolate
Preparation:

Filling: Combine all filling ingredients except chocolate, butter, and whipped cream in a pot. Cook over medium heat until thick. Turn off the heat, add chocolate and butter, and stir until melted. Transfer to a dish, cover with cling film (touching the surface), and let rest for at least 4-5 hours or overnight. The next day, whip the rested cream with whipped cream powder or whipping cream, and refrigerate.

Ganache: Heat the cream until almost boiling, add chocolate, and stir until melted. Let cool and thicken, then whip until fluffy. Your ganache is ready.

Sponge Cake: Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla. Add hot water and continue to beat until creamy. Sift in flour, cocoa, and baking powder, folding gently. Pour into a greased baking tin and bake at a preheated oven at 175°C for about 30 minutes. Let cool.

Assembly: Slice the cooled sponge in half. Spread the prepared filling on one layer, top with the second sponge layer. Cover the entire cake with the whipped ganache.

Serving: Decorate as desired and serve chilled for the best taste.
