Decadent Chocolate Cake with Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting

Create a crowd-pleasing dessert with this rich chocolate cake, frosted with a creamy Oreo-infused topping that’s both visually impressive and deliciously satisfying.

Ingredients for Cake:

  • Your favorite chocolate cake recipe, prepared in either three 6-inch or two 8-inch round cake pans

For the Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • Cream cheese, softened for easy mixing
  • Butter, also at room temperature for a smooth consistency
  • Vanilla extract for classic flavoring
  • A hint of almond extract for a touch of nuttiness
  • Salt to balance the sweetness
  • Powdered sugar for the structure of the frosting
  • Finely crumbled Oreos for that signature cookies and cream taste
  • Whole Oreos for garnish and extra crunch

Frosting Instructions:

  1. Whip the cream cheese, butter, extracts, and salt on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Reduce speed to low and gradually add powdered sugar one cup at a time to prevent dusting, then increase the speed to medium-high and whip until the frosting is fully blended and airy.

Assembly:
