Recipe: Ingredients for 15 Doughnuts (7 cm in diameter):
- 3.5 cups of flour (500g)
- 1 tablespoon of dry yeast
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup of water (185 ml)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of brandy (alternatively, vodka or another 40%+ spirit)
- Filling: Kinder spread
- Topping: Melted white chocolate mixed with oil, Kinder Bueno White
Instructions:
- In a food processor with a dough hook (or by hand, though it's more challenging), briefly mix the flour, yeast, and sugar.
- Add vanilla extract, eggs, oil, and water, blending until the dough forms.
- Once the dough comes together, add salt and knead for 10 minutes at medium speed.
- Incorporate the brandy and mix until evenly distributed in the dough, about 1-2 minutes. The dough will be sticky, which is normal.
- Let the dough rise in an oiled bowl, covered with cling film, for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- After rising, knead the dough briefly to release some air, then roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of 1.5 cm (not thinner than that, and up to 2 cm maximum).
- Cut out circles and place each on a square of baking paper. Brush the dough circles with oil to prevent drying out, and let them rise for another 45 minutes.
- After the second rise, it's time to fry. Heat oil in a pot to 160-170°C. Use a thermometer to ensure accurate temperature.
- Fry each doughnut with its baking paper for about half a minute, then remove the paper. Fry each side for 1.5 to 2 minutes.
- Allow the doughnuts to cool slightly before filling. Transfer the Kinder spread to a piping bag and fill each doughnut.
- Dip each doughnut in melted white chocolate mixed with a bit of oil for the coating. Drizzle with Kinder spread for decoration and top with half a Kinder Bueno White.
