Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 ¼ cup flour (200g)
- 1 packet baking powder (10g)
- 1 cup sugar (200g)
- 1 packet vanilla sugar (10g)
- ¾ cup oil (150ml)
- 6 tbsp chocolate spread
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- ½ container (125ml) of 38% whipping cream
Ganache:
- 250ml whipping cream
- 150g milk chocolate
- 50g dark chocolate
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 170°C on upper and lower heat.
- In a large bowl, add eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Mix using a whisk.
- Gradually add the remaining wet ingredients, mixing until uniform.
- Add chocolate spread, cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder. Mix until smooth and lump-free.
- Transfer the batter to a greased 24cm diameter pan or two English cake pans.
- Bake for about an hour or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
For the Ganache:
- In a bain-marie, heat 250ml of whipping cream for about 2 minutes.
- Add 150g of milk chocolate and 50g of dark chocolate. Stir constantly until smooth.
- Let the cake cool for about 30 minutes, then pour the ganache over it.
