One-Bowl Chocolate Cake

This incredibly moist and rich chocolate cake is a delight for all chocolate lovers. Made conveniently in one bowl without the need to whip the eggs, it's an easy yet delicious recipe that melts in your mouth. Topped with a smooth chocolate ganache, it's perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup flour (200g)
  • 1 packet baking powder (10g)
  • 1 cup sugar (200g)
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar (10g)
  • ¾ cup oil (150ml)
  • 6 tbsp chocolate spread
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ container (125ml) of 38% whipping cream

Ganache:

  • 250ml whipping cream
  • 150g milk chocolate
  • 50g dark chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C on upper and lower heat.
  2. In a large bowl, add eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Mix using a whisk.
  3. Gradually add the remaining wet ingredients, mixing until uniform.
  4. Add chocolate spread, cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder. Mix until smooth and lump-free.
  5. Transfer the batter to a greased 24cm diameter pan or two English cake pans.
  6. Bake for about an hour or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.

For the Ganache:

  1. In a bain-marie, heat 250ml of whipping cream for about 2 minutes.
  2. Add 150g of milk chocolate and 50g of dark chocolate. Stir constantly until smooth.
  3. Let the cake cool for about 30 minutes, then pour the ganache over it.
  4. Optionally, top with coconut or candies of your choice.
