Quick and Easy 30-Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Yields 4-5 medium-sized rolls

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 1/3 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream or yogurt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

  • 2-3 tablespoons butter, very soft
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder

For the Frosting:

  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar

Preparation Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for a few minutes until the yeast becomes foamy.
  2. Add the sour cream and melted butter to the yeast mixture.
  3. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring with a spatula until a dough starts to form. It should be slightly sticky.
