Quick & Easy ‘Cheater’s’ Chocolate Tiramisu

Introducing a delightful twist on a classic Italian dessert – my ‘Cheater’s’ Chocolate Tiramisu. This recipe is so easy and quick that you might second-guess its simplicity, but the results are absolutely delicious. Combining the richness of chocolate and cream cheese with the classic coffee-soaked ladyfingers, this dessert is perfect for those last-minute gatherings or when you want to impress with minimal effort.

Why You’ll Love This: This Chocolate Tiramisu takes a beloved classic and gives it a chocolaty twist, making it a hit for both chocolate and tiramisu lovers. It’s incredibly easy to prepare, requires minimal fridge time, and offers a variety of topping options to suit your taste or what you have on hand.

Perfect Occasion: Ideal for hosting friends, family gatherings, or as a quick dessert solution. It’s also a great choice for a cozy evening treat or when you want to prepare something sweet and impressive without spending too much time in the kitchen.

  • 200 g of chocolate bar
  • 35 g of butter
  • 200 g of cream cheese (like Philadelphia)
  • A bowl of coffee
  • Ladyfinger biscuits (as needed)
  • Topping options: chocolate shavings, crushed hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
  2. Once melted, mix in the cream cheese until well combined. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the coffee for soaking the ladyfingers.
  4. Dip ladyfingers in the coffee briefly and layer them in a dish, alternating with layers of the chocolate cream mixture.
  5. After assembling the layers, add your chosen topping and refrigerate for at least 35 minutes.

Ready to serve! This dessert is a go-to for me when I have guests and am short on time. It’s really easy, quick to set in the fridge, and absolutely delicious.

Note: Soak the ladyfingers in coffee longer if you prefer them softer; I only dip them for a few seconds for a firmer texture.
