A luscious combination of strawberries and Oreos come together in this mousse cake. Layers of Oreo and cream cheese mousse nestled within a strawberry chocolate mousse, all atop a rich chocolate cake and crowned with a creamy strawberry topping.
Ingredients:
For the Oreo Mousse Sandwich:
- Cream cheese: 70g
- Sugar: 15g
- Vanilla extract: 1g
- Gelatin slices: 3g
- Milk: 20g
- Light cream: 100g
- Oreo cookies
- A slice of plain chocolate cake
For the Strawberry Mousse:
- Oreo pieces: 100g
- Butter: 45g
- Cream Cheese: 230g
- Sugar: 20g
- Vanilla extract: 1g
- Gelatin: 8g
- Milk: 30g
- Strawberry Chocolate: 80g
- Light Cream: 220g
Instructions:
Oreo Mousse Sandwich:
- Soak the gelatin slices in cold water until soft.
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Warm the milk slightly and dissolve the softened gelatin slices in it.
- Add the gelatin mixture to the cream cheese mix.
- Whip the light cream until it forms soft peaks and gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
- Crush some Oreo cookies and stir into the mixture.
- Spread this mixture over your slice of plain chocolate cake in a cake mold. Refrigerate until set.
Strawberry Mousse:
- Melt the butter and combine with the Oreo pieces. This will form the base. Press this mixture at the bottom of your cake mold and chill.
- Soak the gelatin in cold water until it softens.
- Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- In a separate container, warm the milk and dissolve the gelatin in it.
- Melt the strawberry chocolate and combine with the cream cheese mixture.
- Add the gelatin mixture.
- Whip the light cream to soft peaks and gently fold it into the strawberry and cream cheese mixture.
- Pour this strawberry mousse over the set Oreo mousse sandwich in the cake mold.
- Refrigerate until completely set.
Finishing:
- Once the mousse is set, you can decorate the top with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and Oreo pieces.
