This 2-Minute Healthy Chocolate Oats recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, making it a healthier option that will leave you happier and satisfied.

Equipment Needed

To make these delicious 2-Minute Healthy Chocolate Oats, you will need the following equipment:

  • Blender
  • Ramekin or microwave-safe bowl
  • Microwave or oven
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 egg (or 4 tbsp applesauce for a vegan option)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon maple/agave syrup (or any other sweetener)
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter
  • 1/2 cup steel cut oats (120 ml)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut, almond, or oat milk (120 ml)
  • 1 piece of dark chocolate (non-dairy and refined sugar-free)

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Ingredients:
    • In a blender, combine the banana, egg (or applesauce), optional sweetener, nut butter, steel cut oats, cacao powder, baking powder, and your choice of milk. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Prepare for Cooking:
    • Pour the blended mixture into a greased ramekin or microwave-safe bowl.
    • Place the piece of dark chocolate on top of the mixture.
  3. Cook the Oats:
    • Microwave on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes (at 800W).
    • If you prefer using an oven, preheat to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until set.
