- Approx. 20 ladyfingers
- 400 ml freshly brewed coffee (1 tbsp of coffee or chocolate liqueur optional)
- 6 egg yolks (or 3 whole eggs)
- 6 tbsp of water
- 100 g of sugar
- 500 g of mascarpone or firm cream cheese
- 200 g of heavy cream (double cream)
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
- In a small pot, combine sugar and water. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Begin whisking the egg yolks and slowly add the boiling syrup, continuing to beat until the mixture cools down. This step is crucial as it cooks the yolks with the hot syrup.
- Soften the mascarpone and fold it into the cooled yolk mixture.
- Mix the hot coffee with the liqueur (if using) and quickly dip the ladyfingers until well soaked. Layer the bottom of your dish with ladyfingers, then spread half of the mascarpone mixture over them. Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers and cover with the remaining mascarpone mixture. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Whip the heavy cream with 1 tbsp of sugar to stiff peaks and spread over the chilled tiramisu.
- Dust with cocoa powder just before serving for the perfect finish.
This Creamy Delight Tiramisu combines the joy of traditional flavors with a touch of luxury, making every bite an unforgettable experience. Enjoy!
