Vegan Caramel Apple Pie Cookies

These indulgent cookies combine the rich flavors of apple pie with a touch of caramel sweetness. The creamy frosting adds a luxurious finishing touch. A perfect dessert for those who adore the fusion of classic apple pie and cookies!


For the Apple Pie Filling:

  • Chopped apples: 180g
  • Caster sugar: 40g
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 & 1/2 tsp
  • Cornflour/cornstarch: 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice: 1 tbsp

For the Cookie:

  • Dairy-free butter (cubed): 115g
  • Caster sugar: 140g
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Dairy-free milk: 30ml
  • Plain flour: 210g
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 tsp
  • Baking powder: 3/4 tsp
  • Bicarbonate of soda: 1/4 tsp
  • Natures Charm Coconut Caramel Sauce: 3 tbsp

For the Cinnamon Sugar:

  • Caster sugar: 2 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 tsp

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • Dairy-free butter: 30g
  • Dairy-free cream cheese: 20g
  • Natures Charm Oat Whipping Cream: 3 tbsp
  • Icing sugar: 250g
  • Vanilla bean pod (seeds only): 1


  • Natures Charm Caramel Sauce (for swirl)


Apple Pie Filling:

  1. Prepare the apples and weigh out 180g. Separate 60g to be incorporated into the cookie dough later.
  2. In a saucepan, cook the 120g of apples with sugar, cinnamon, cornflour, and lemon juice. Stir for about 5 minutes or until the apples soften and the mixture thickens.
  3. Allow to cool to room temperature.


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan). Line 2 baking trays.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add vanilla and milk, then mix.
  3. Sift in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the 60g of reserved chopped apples.
  5. Form the dough into 6 balls and place them on the trays.
  6. Pipe some caramel into the center of each dough ball, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and leave them in ball shape for baking.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until slightly golden. After baking, reshape using a cookie cutter.
  8. Cool on the tray.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. Whip together butter, cream cheese, and whipping cream.
  2. Add icing sugar and vanilla, and whip until smooth.
  3. Fill a piping bag fitted with a round nozzle.


  1. Once cookies are cooled, pipe a half swirl of frosting on each.
  2. Fill the middle of the swirl with caramel sauce.
  3. Top with apple pie filling.
  4. Dust with icing sugar and refrigerate until set.
